All the power supplies listed below are of the switched mode type. 12 Volt DC regulated. This also means that they are small, compact and lightweight, and generate very little heat. They are supplied with a 2 metre mains lead with fitted fused plug on one end, and a 2 or 3 pin connector (depending on the model) on the other. The 12v DC output from the power supply has a 1.8 metre lead. They are short circuit protected and approved to CE/TUV, UL and CSA for safety and noise.
If ever in any doubt with regard to the size of a supply you need, always go up a size. This will also give you spare capacity for the future should you change or add to the lighting.
